Overview

A companion worker timesheet app for Shiny Solutions, used by staff to log hours per site and submit weekly timesheets.

Problem

Staff hours and site assignments were tracked outside a dedicated system, making weekly timesheets and payroll preparation more manual than they needed to be.

Solution

A mobile worker app where staff log hours against their assigned sites and submit a weekly timesheet in a few taps.

Implementation

Built with Expo/React Native so the same app works across mobile and web from one codebase, with weekly draft/saved states so partially-filled timesheets aren't lost.

Challenges

Designing a daily-hours grid that stays usable on a small mobile screen while covering a full week across multiple sites.

Outcome

Staff can submit timesheets directly from their phone, and the Summary, Complaints and History sections give a consistent record to refer back to.
